Lamborghini Profit Declines in First Half of 2026 Despite Record Revenue
The luxury automaker's operating profit fell to €395 million in the first six months of the year, even as revenue climbed 7.4% to a historic high of €1.74 billion amid challenging global market conditions.

Automobili Lamborghini announced on Wednesday that its operating profit for the first half of 2026 declined by more than 8%, a development the company attributes to a challenging global environment. [1, 16] The Volkswagen-owned brand's operating profit was €395 million, down from €431 million during the same period in 2025. [1, 4] Its operating margin also tightened, falling to 22.7% from 26.5% a year prior. [1, 4]
Despite the drop in profitability, the Italian carmaker achieved its highest-ever revenue for a six-month period, with sales growing 7.4% to €1.74 billion. [2, 3] This revenue growth occurred even as vehicle deliveries fell by 4.6% to 5,422 units, indicating higher revenue per vehicle sold. [2, 3, 6]
Global Headwinds Impact Luxury Sector
Company executives pointed to several external factors for the reduced profit. In a statement, Chief Financial Officer Paolo Poma cited the "negative impact of the increase in U.S. tariffs, introduced last year, and adverse exchange rate fluctuations" as affecting the financial performance. [1, 4, 5]
The company also noted that its results came as its reference market contracted by 7.7%. [1, 4] Broader issues impacting the luxury car sector include geopolitical instability, particularly the conflict in the Middle East, a weaker luxury market in China, and growing uncertainty in Europe. Resilience Amid Volatility
Despite the pressures, Lamborghini's leadership emphasized the brand's strength. "Even amid growing disruption across global markets, Automobili Lamborghini has demonstrated its resilience by recording the highest revenue in its history," commented Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann. [2, 3, 5] He attributed this to a business model built on exclusivity and brand value. [2, 5]
The first half of 2026 saw contributions from the brand's entire hybridized product range, including the Revuelto, Urus SE, and the new Temerario, which began deliveries in the first quarter. [2, 5, 7] According to the company, its order book remains robust, with customer waiting times of approximately one year. [2, 5]
